Default Hazzard - ABC Children's Blocks

Hi Guys,

I was just reading an email forwarded to me from the volunteer group that I work with regarding the ABC children's blocks. It's possible that the paint on the blocks is loaded with lead.

There has been an incident with a bird going into convulsions and having seizures due to a growth or lesion on the gizzard. The vet visited in this case has said this was caused by lead poisoning and quite possibly from the paint on the blocks.

Has anyone heard of this? I thought these blocks were safe! I have a few laying around here. They're not a favorite toy but they have been chewed up.

I bought them in the past from the $1 store. Last year when the lead scare popped up I noticed they didnt carry anymore. I had a feeling the issues were related. I bought some plain ones from Birdsnest since my monsters love to chew them.
