Vet help
Hopefully you will know the difference between a bird with a serious problem compared to a minor issue, If your bird is very ill then please take him-her to a certified avian vet fast.
If it’s something that can take a little time, (non emergency), you can consult an avian vet online.

Why you need an avian vet

Ask a certified avian vet
mailto:birdvetonline@BirdcareCo.com

I pray all is okay.

I am at my vet more than I'd like to be. However, when I rescued my birds I made a commitment to do what is best for them. I try to feed them well, take care of the issues I can and refer the more serious things to my vet.

Would I like to spend that $200 on a play gym or put it towards a new cage? Heck yeah! But, if my bird has a medical issue that I ignore---and they suffer or die---what kind of person would I be??

(Just found a swollen inflamed feather cyst on my bird last night, so off we go again!)

I appreciate the fact that you are spreading the word on the importance of veterinary care!!

Mary

Thanks for posting that. I can't emphasize how important it is.
