Shane, I would assume that would be perfectly fine, but wait for somebody to confirm that.

I always thought Prep H was for our bird bites. I didn't know it could be used on them.

I hope he's feeling better today Lisa! Poor baby!

I also agree, it would be safe to use the aloe gel that you get from breaking open a leaf. Keep an eye on the area, if you were to see it worsen or swell, a call to your AV is in order.

Yes Prep H can be used on us for our bites, but it is also safe to use on the birds. When Chaos broke her leg that took the sweeling done wonderfully and when ever we have had a bird scuffle where someone ended up with a broken bleeding toe we have used it to and I think it speeds healing up.I have also used it on the little owwies they get on their face. Like I said I wouldn't be with out it.

Thanks everyone!
Stirling seems to be doing ok, and the aloe seems to have made a cover over the wound, and all seems ok. He is hanging off his toys and playing like he does everyday, so thats a good sign...

ok, so it IS the cream neosporin we want then huh? If so I already have it.....
But, i will probably ask the same thing next time, because I will forget.

Nope, its au natural! Ollie likes to eat it! I break off a piece every once and awhile and let her play with it.

I used aloe on Maui's toe when he got bit last year. I also took him to the vet and he had 10 days of pain meds and antibiotics just to be safe. Several people told me he would eventually lose that toe but he didn't. It's a little crooked now at the tip but still intact!
