Default Runny, watery poop

Humphrey pooped 3 times in the last 10 minutes and it's ALL water. No solid pieces. It's sunday. What should I do? I'm going to try to see if I can get hold of any vets. Advice please

Michele, has Humphrey eaten yet this morning or did she eat a lot of watery foods? Any changes since you posted?

She ate her normal breakfast of seed and pellets. She also had bread crust and a tiny piece of chicken. Last night she had apple and carrot, which she has every day - but I did notice she ate a LOT of carrot.

The stools are all watery - no solid pieces, and too frequent. She is behaving normally - she is drinking water and eating. She is also preening and was being a bit playful with the water bowl I brought over to the sofa for her trying to knock it over as she always does with things like this.

She had one more watery poop since I wrote. It's part clear and part milky white. It's much too frequent though. like 3 times in 10 minutes.

Thank you, I'm panicking

Michelle, keep trying to get in touch with your vet. Watch your bird to see if he is eating and drinking. Check the toys he has been playing with. Keep an eye on the little guy and keep us posted. Please back track and write down what the bird has eaten in the last couple of hours. He may have a temporary blockage in the GI tract.......only and xray or ultrasound will determine that.

Please keep us posted.

I spoke to a vet and she told me to watch Humphrey and if she gets any worse to bring her in. Otherwise come tomorrow. Right now she's preening, and she's been playful, so she isn't FEELING ill, but clearly her poop isn't right. Thank you everyone - I will keep watching her. I'm going to my in-laws for dinner but I'm bringing Humph with me so I can keep an eye on her. She comes with us a lot and enjoys it so it won't be stressful for her.

Let us know how she's doing when you get home later. Fingers crossed and saying a prayer that all is well.

Michele,

Sorry I call Humphrey a he......

How is she doing now? What has she been chewing on for the last couple of days, any metal objects? Has there been a change in diet?

Don't worry - she has a boy's name, so it's only natural! She hasn't been chewing on anything unusual that I can tell, but this morning I did give her a tiny piece of chicken. She has had it before, just not very often, and it has never given her ill effects before.

Hi again,

Now her poops look different. Lots of solid, but light brown. I imagine this is because of the huge amount of carrot she had before bed last night. There is not too much liquid - less than a normal poop. Hmmm...

If she stays the same I will call the vet again tomorrow and get her seen. What do you guys think?

Thanks so much for the messages so far.

Michele and Humphrey
