Michele, I think we've all been in your shoes at one time or another. I always freak out when the droppings are looking off to me. I always call my AV like you did and she always tells me to monitor for 24 hours, in case it's something they ate, but if it persists beyond 24 hours or worsens to head into the office.

So if it were me and the droppings were still looking off by tomorrow morning, I would have her seen and take some samples with you.

Thank you so much everyone for your kind concern. Humphrey has been passing completely normal looking green droppings for a few hours now! I'm very relieved.

It's amazing how I can send myself into a complete blind panic. Her poop looked really bad, so I panicked.

Thanks again all. I think she's fine.

I was going to say, wait awhile before heading to the doctor.
Something was unusual in the last 24 hrs, even a chew toy as Gary has mentioned, I suspect it was something Humphrey ate...
Wheeew.
Very happy all appears fine, keep an eye on your little one.

Wonderful news, Michelle!!
I know how worrisome it is when you sense something may not be right with them. It's so difficult when you can't just ask them what's wrong.

This morning Humphrey is fine and passing normal droppings. Phew.

I want to thank you all for your quick responses and kind concern. Non-bird people wouldn't understand. Even my in-laws were gently making fun of me for running over and looking every time Humph pooped. I'd say, "But with birds their droppings are the best indicator of their health! You have to look at them!" and they'd laugh at me. But you guys understand! I love this bird so much.

I know what you mean, Nate. I wish I could just say, "Humphrey, is your belly hurting? Are you feeling ok?" and she could say, "I'm fine, I think I just overdid it on the carrot last night..."

Thanks so much for letting us know Michele. What a relief to read you're not heading off to the vet this morning.
