Kim, Welcome to Parrotchatter!
There are many good reply prior to this post!
A clear discharge is not life threatening unless accompanied by labored breathing, shortness of breath or other signs of illness.
My first thoughts would be an allergy or another irritation. Try taking your bird into your bath room and make it into a steam room by running hot water in your tub or from your shower. Keep the bird in the steam for 20 minutes and then watch to see if there is improvement after it drys and rests for awhile. Many times a bird can have something in the nasal cavity and the steam will help flush it out. As a precaution I would keep the bird warm (85degrees) and hydrated.
I'm not sure what kind of weather you are having where you live but there may be many pollen or dust in the air. Sometimes even the dust from central air can cause a sneeze or discharge.
I don't see you having to rush the bird to the vet until you have more information to offer him. If the problem continues call the vet first and tell him the symptoms before you take the bird in.
Please keep us posted!
