Arty, I feel for you and Chance! Thank you for doing everything you can for for your bird. Like Joel mentioned in his post "vets do make mistakes" I always question my vet as to why he is prescribing certain medications and always double check the dosage.

Is your wife back from the vet? How is Chance doing?

We are praying for quick recovery for Chance.

Hi Gary,
There is so much piling up on me right now, I don't mean to me so aggressive, Chance is our child.
The emergency vet suspects kidney or liver problems, blood tests have been taken, we won't have to wait long as they do the blood lab work right there.
Chance is being kept warm and on oxygen, Rose took the medications with her Gary.
Chance is taking 2 meds, 0.3 cc of baytril every 24 hrs and another med for the bacteria in her crop.
I will post that med when she gets home.
Over 2 thousand dollars later and several months of Chance suffering, Mistakes will no longer be tolerated, I pay for Chance to receive the best medical attention money can buy, I am at this time Demanding results from the Vet world...bottom line.
I am at the end of my rope....and so is Chance.

Arty, I know how you feel having been there myself. I have tears in my eyes as I type. Prayers are headed your way from all over the world my friend and yes miracles can happen!

Chance is not well, The blood draw has placed her in more stress, but the vet said it had to be done, Chance can no longer stand and is down with her head laying against the cussion.
She is being kept warm and direct oxygen, the vet said every breath is very important, it will be 1 hour for the results from the blood draw.
Right now, things don't look good for Chance....

Through these tears I will welcome any miracle, any miracle at all...
Our little girl has suffered so, a roller coaster ride, For the last 6 years now my wife has told Chance "you are the only one with any sense, Yea thats right Chance the only one with any sense", always said in an exciting tone of voice to watch Chances head bob up and down, years of such fond memories are flashing before me, this just isn't right....

arty, i'm praying for a miracle for chance... and i'm sending a lot of strength your way for you and your wife.... i feel for you!

The Vet just called, Chances Liver is ten times the normal size, she will not live.
My wife is crying very badly right now, all she keeps saying is Ten Times, Ten Times.
She is on her way back to the vets, She will more than likely make the decission to put our little girl to sleep.
