So glad to see you found the cause and that Chance is doing better.

How is Chance doing, Arty? Been a couple of days, any news?

Chance had a brief bad spell again last night, She still is not eating any seed.
She does eat her pasta and veggies, and hand feeding continues.
Her weight is staying around 106 grams, body mass is good.
She couldn't use her leg last night for awhile, seems she wasn't quite with us for awhile, its like shes off in another world, she doesn't respond to anything said to her, she can't balance well.
These episodes don't last very long but are very scarey to us, just think what is going through her little head.
This is in the vets hands, all we can do is keep her warm, give her the medications and spend as much time with her as we can.

What medications did your vet prescribe for Chance? It may be the antibiotic is not the perfect one for the infection Chance has, you may want to research. Does the vet workup mention the type of bacteria that was seen at the lab?

Chance was found this morning sitting on her dish weaving, Chance and the wife are on there way to the emergency vet hospital.
I am very frustarated right now, Chances vet bills are over 2 thousand dollars so far, why be a certified avian vet and not be able to help these little birds.
Chance has had just about every test there is.
Gary I respect your question, but honestly Gary, shouldn't a certified avian vet have concidered what you have said.
I am frustrated, I am very angry right now, seems there are VETS out there becoming rich and doing nothing to help these little birds....
Chance weighed 96 grams this morning, she will not eat at all.
Over 2 thousand dollars in vet bills and our little bird is still suffering, I have had enough of this Bull...t.

IMO, no A.V. is God. They all make mistakes etc.

I too am curious as to what exactly was prescribed and the dose etc....

I am all for second opinions by yet another certified A.V. and even a third if the first two conflict. Best of luck to Chance.

Oh man Arty I am so sorry. I hope the little girl feels better soon. 2 thousand dollars is crazy and I know you must be really frustrated trying to get her well. My thoughts are with you, your wife, and Chance. I am praying she heals soon.
