get some metacam and give the budgie 1 drop every 12 hours.

baytril is what you need to be using for infection.

Thunder the injured budgie is feeling better today I think. He is holding his wing closer to his body and more level with the other wing. I have tried the ice on the wing so maybe this is the reason for improvement. He bites real hard but lucky for me my skin is thicker than a budgie beak, unless he is not making a real effort at drawing blood. I cover him with a cloth to work with him as a towel is too thick for his safety.

Thanks John, I think I can get that from the dog vet.

Angie, see the attached jpg with the dosage for Meloxicam, used for pain and swelling. The dosage is small .1mg per kg of bird weight, oral, 4 times per day.

Good luck and keep us posted.

The Ice will help a great deal concerning the swelling, stress is a factor.
How is the Talon injury doing?
To many medications at one time isn't a good thing with these little guys.
Being there isn't any apparent open wounds, I am surprized the vet didn't offer in-flamitories, as both injuries will have swelling.
Poor little guys...
Good Luck
Arty

Thunder is feeling much better. Asprin and Doxy seems to be good for him. The wings appear to be much more level. He cage mate with the injured foot is also doing well.
