Michelle, anything new?

Can you call an emergency avian vet? I have cell phone numbers to two of the best avian vets in the nation. Contact me by IM.

Ruby and I don't mind a little fat at all! In fact I insist on it in my food! Makes feathers prettier! Best to just put him in a box and send him to us! What's a little weight gain?? I was all of 97 pounds when I married and well..... not anymore! My hubby tells me that there is just more of me to love! Same with Mischief! (Thankful he's ok!!!!) Ruby says "step-up!" "if you can!" (She can be mean at times! Sorry!)

LOL - Well, that's a good explanation for the 'swolen abdomen'! If I may? Ask your avian vet to teach you how to judge a bird's weight by the feel of the pads of muscle (or fat) on each side of the chest keel bone. It's not the most accurate of methods but it gives you a pretty good idea of whether the bird is OK, too fat or too skinny.

I know we shouldn't laugh - it really is a laugh of relief.
very relieved he's OK.

So what's the new regime? - push-ups, mazes, training schedule? Does it require lifting the bird over your head & skipping?
