Hahahah my scarlet can, my GW has all kinds of trouble... but is learning. he'll work on one for about 10 minutes before he finds the sweet spot. Tiki gets them in split seconds.

Dana, Tiki is the first Scarlet I have heard of that can handle the Macs! Maybe Ruby will be the second.

Our Hys open their own Mac Nuts now, but when they were babies, I opened and crushed them to add to their food. They especially liked banana rolled with crushed nut. Shadow, our BP2 is the only bird we have other than a Hy able to crack a Mac. We bought a german Krakanut nutcracker which has been great.

That is amazing that a Scarlet can crack one!

yep...she turns it around in her mouth about three times and CRACK. OPEN ;-} She knows EXACTLY where to do it.

Red DOES get them.... EVENTUALLY. At least it has entertainment factor.
