Ok....what is a untreated grape fine wreath and where do you get them? Sorry, but I really don't know.

I believe you can get them at Michael's or AC Moore - they have to be plain grape vine. We have the at the store too in our toy making room. This is what they look like: eBay: 12" ROUND GRAPEVINE WREATH NEW - NEVER USED! L@@K! (item 190120602253 end time Jun-13-07 19:09:25 PDT)

Great ideas so far and I will try them.

Kathie, I know the wreaths you are talking about and Jeannie, you can find them at Michaels.

I agree with Karen that large leaves and raw veggies can be left in the cages all day with no problem. I hang Red Swiss Chard leaves-the tiels love them, especially Ladybird. I also give the strips of Red pepper or French breakfast radishes (they look like fingers and are milder than regular radishes) attached to the sides of the cage with a clothespin. Fresh green beans is another favorite-Shrek thinks they are wonderful because they have more seeds inside. He strips them open, eats the little seeds, then eats the rest of the green bean, lol.

Asparagus spears! Not exactly a leafy green, but the 'stick' shape and seedlike head are attractive.

Great idea everyone. Kathie, I don't know why I didn't say this earlier, but the grape vine wreath and tying of veggies is a fantastic idea!

This might have been covered else where, but I was wondering if the leaves on celery was okay to give to birds. I would assume so. But it's always good to get a second opinoin!

Have you ever seen brussell sprouts on a stalk? Some grocery stores carry them. It is great for a bigger bird and since it is not cooked can actually stay for an extended length of time. I have a friend who buys them for her GWs. would love to try it for my C TOO but unfortunately I would need to follow a 2-3 year rule since it would be way to strange an item for her
