Default Parsnips?

Picked some up today, but I've never offered any to the fids. Seems like I remember someone saying they fed them. How should I prepare them? Lightly steamed? Raw? Probably no matter what I do, I'll get the avian equivalent of the razzberry from them, but thought I'd give a shot at some variety. Always a challenge to get these guys to eat some veggies!

I would treat them like you would potatoes for bird and just semi-cook them, or mash them, or mash and add to muffin mix.
