I adore Dr. Wade. She did Kady's second surgery. Our first appointment with her was 2 hours. I had never owned a bird before rescuing Kady. She uses Barbara Heidenreich's training methods and she showed me how to handle him. I don't know if he had ever been petted or touched and if he had been prior, it had been years since he was touched.

She was the first one to pet Kady after I first got him. She petted Kady's head so gently and talked so sweet to him and Kady started making baby crying noises. I cried when this happened as did the Tech in the room. I will never forget that day and I will be forever grateful to Dr. Wade for everything she taught me.

She is scheduled to speak at our local club on September 14, but the topic hasn't been announced yet. Whatever the topic is, it will be good. I'm looking forward to it.

Karen, that is such a sweet story! Now you got me leaking! Dr. Wade sounds like a wonderful person.

Nate, I still cry just thinking about that day and it will be 2 years in July that Kady and I found each other.

I have never met Laura Wade but have heard her name pop up numerous times and have heard nothing but good of her.
