And it doesn't really say what the ingredients are. Beans, seeds, fruits, vegetables, etc is not good enough for me, I would want to know what seeds, what fruits, what vegetables, how they were treated, what percentage, etc.

that was my thought as well from what I saw on the sight. I was browsing an Australian bird forum and saw it mentioned. They said 43 ingredients. I guess I'll have to ask them at the sight.

Is it better to add your own bee pollen etcetera, than to buy pre-mixed?

The problem I'm getting at is that all the ingredients tend to un-mix in the bag & by the end you have less variety & maybe too much of one item. I see this with the mixes I get for the Budgies - our local Pigeons tend to get the ends of these bags, on top of their seed.
