Default Nino's vet visit

I love my little man

He was soo good going to the vet's - and he LOVES being outside... it was warm enough, he got to spend some time outside in the sun.

The vet checked his eyes - no cataracts... no inflammation either. There is no indication of any other physical cause. But she did see what I meant when he flew around the exam room with dimmed lights - he didn't really see. So, the only thing she said it could be is a retina thing - well, and then we can't do anything anyways. She put out the option of getting him to an ophthalmologist, where we could use the specialized equipment to examine the eye, but I don't want to put him through it. So, I'll be keeping an eye on him, sticking my nose into books about herbal supplements for eye sight, and feeding lots of leafy greens.... she'll call to check on him regularly, if it gets worse we're back at the vet's. Oh, and I'll get onto that ceiling full-spectrum lighting.... KA-CHING.... oh well, my man's worth it.

Did I mention that he was soooo good - when he was toweled, I gave him a little head scritch and some kisses, and it was the first time that I left without any bloody fingers.... I love him!

It might have to do with the Vitamin aspect. I'm sure his improved diet will help. I think Karen said once her birds recognized good foods it was apparent in their health. I wish you luck.
