ivy ate mango for the first time today, YES! she wouldn't eat it before when i tried, but i had a not-so-ripe fruit. i got a really ripe one this time so it was super sweet and mushy, but not to the point of being over ripe. it's so hard to get her to like something, i am so glad i have found another thing i can add to my "for sure to eat" list.

Emily, that was what worked here too. Kady has been eating a piece everyday.

And even if you get one that is not ripe, it's easy to ripe them (both mangoes and papayas). Just put them in a paper bag with an apple in it and fold the top over several times so no air goes out and leave it out of the fridge (I use my oven to store them). The gas produced by the apple will make the mango or papaya ripen in a matter of days.

Good tip! Unfortunately I probably won't be trying it since my guys looked at me like I had approximately three heads whenever I've offered Mango.

Mine won't take fresh mango either...I get the same look. LOL. But they will eat a little if I throw it in the dehydrator for them.
