I ordered Miss Ruby some. Sounds like something that she would like and be good for her.

I've been using it a couple years now. Great stuff!! It is my "secret ingredient" in the mash, cookies and bread I make. As well as just giving it to them as is.

Mind you, I am not a herbalist. I never had a single day of formal instruction on herbs but I grew up on them, learned from my grandmother and grand-uncle, done a lot of research and read and heard a lot of lectures on them and one of the main principles of herbals is not to overwhelm the body so they are never given in combinations of more than three together. It is also a no-no to give herbs that might stimulate organs or functions that do not need stimulating. It could backfire (like echinacea, astralagus, kelp, barberry -they also have a couple of diuretics in there). The list of herbs in this 'salad' is a good list but I would never feed it to my birds. I do keep most of them in my pantry but I only give them what they need when they need it.

When my birds have it, it is only a small bit in a dish and they pick at it...they do not actually eat all of it...I think it a good supplement to a varied diet. So far so good and I have 11 healthy birds.
