Default Heads Up

Here is a link to an outbreak of psittacosis at some birds stores in Washington State.

It appears to be related to the Petsmart psitticosis.

Thank you for this info .. I hadnt heard this yet. Im not far from Spokane , however, we stopped taking the birds to pet stores years ago when the avian flu broke out. Its just not worth the risk. I dont handle birds at pet stores, it makes me sad to see them there. We are currently in the process of taking all the birds in for their yearly check-ups and bloodwork ... I'll feel better when thats all taken care of.
