Default Greening Of The Parrot Diet

Greening Of The Parrot Diet

Very good article written by Carolyn Swicegood. It gives a brief description of some popular green foods and what their benefits are to the health of parrots.

Thanks Karen! We love Winged Wisdom articles. I think it is true that if you have a baby bird, you should expose it to all kinds of foods. I did that with Ruby and she eats anything I give her. When I work at the Wildlife rescue, in the spring we have all these baby birds, and they told me they won't eat anything their mom doesn't feed them. That is how they know not to eat poisonous berries, etc. I guess it's true. We have to feed them each a little of this and that. Bugs and all. ICK! My Gipper was already ruined when I got him, and he would only eat things that I ate. I mean AS I ATE them! LOL! Silly boy!
