I agree! Please go to the vet, if the bird is shaking it's head, I would bet it needs a calcium shot, followed by the calciboost and the added foods Bea has mentioned.

I suggested the Vet,but she isn't keen on the idea-in all the 8 yrs she has had the bird it has never been to the Vets. She is getting her to eat a little more food with the calcium powder on it,not foods I would offer, but at least she is getting the powder. The powder is for birds from a top breeder and he said even if she only sprinkling it on the seeds she will get some.Keep your fingers crossed for her this weekend, because I will be in NY all weekend and I hope she doesn't have any problems.I will pass along the rest of the info,I know at least a little sinks in.

Please get her some Calciboost, powder works for birds that are used to eating soft foods but liquid is much more reliable to get the supplement into the bird in an adequate amount.

What a crying shame she is not taking her to the vet! If she is producing eggs without a shell and already has a twitch, her chances of surviving on a bad diet and light schedule are slim to none. It breaks my heart to hear of birds suffering like that... poor, unfortunate, little thing to have ended up with such an uncaring human!
