I have spoken to the manager at Dr. Mac's Organic Origins regarding the Macaw pellets. They said that if the food is sent overseas it will definitely not clear customs because the product is a food type and currently does not have a permit. They are in the process of organising a distributor in the USA but are still organising permits etc. Perhaps keep an eye on their website for updates. They said they should be available next year at some stage.

thanks for the update! here's hoping someone in the US picks it up!

I have another update about these pellets....They're coming!!!

I have been corresponding with Dr. Ross Perry in Australia regarding Dr Mac’s Organic Pellets and he was kind enough to query directly to the manufacturer for me. Here's a portion of an email I received with their response;

I was in the USA last week speaking at the Parrot Festival and having discussions with potential importers/distributors so am hoping the products will be available in the USA by at least June, if not sooner.

Darn! They look great but they have soy in them. I don't feed soy to my animals. When is a manufacturer going to produce a breed-specific, good tasting pellet that contains no soy so I can get it for my birds? I get TOP now but my birds don't like them.
