Your story sounds VAGUELY similar to mine. I'm 20 too...and have a bird....and your birds male.....creeeeeeepy *Twighlight zone* Sept he has had no dietary issues, he's a little piggy and hasn't quite learned the snort noise yet but he's gotten close.

I've no clue I was wondering the same thing but I've taken to putting the humidifier by his cage and he has improved tremendously.
