Bay Laurel Trees safe for birds?

We have a bay laurel tree, the kind you harvest for culinary bay leaves . Is this safe for birds? I don't seem to be able to confirm either way. I would appreciate some advice. Thanks!

If you scroll down to Arty's list, Laurel is listed as Toxic. I don't see any reference to Bay Laurel though.

Yeah, I saw that one, but like you said, it's inconclusive. Hopefully some others can chime in and clarify. Thanks for taking the time to answer!

Holistsic Bird lists it under their "Safe Plants for Birds."

Laurel (Bay) Laurus Shrub or small tree, deep green leaf plus Bay leaves for the home use.

I think we need a "safe wood/tree" sticky for birds (imo)

I think it would be helpful/ easier to refer back to.
