Your Biggest Pet Peeve!

What is your biggest pet peeve of owning your bird(s). We are all different with various views on living with our birds. Try to limit it to one or two of your worst pet peeves.

Mine is not being able to "sleep in" on the weekends!"

I am up at sunrise always with my birds as they are mother nature's alarm clock. LOL

i can handle valo's complaints when i sleep a little longer (which is still not long), but the thing i really miss sometimes is my joy of taking a loong shower.... seems like as soon as i turn on the water, mr. stinkefuss wants to come join me and screams from the top of his lungs until i'm done - needless to say, i always hurry up

Probably the cleaning. I like to clean cages daily, and between that and washing food/water bowls several times a day, keeping the area around the cages clean, etc., it takes a big slice of time.

The budgies get so noisy that I have to take phone calls on the patio and turn on the captions on the TV in the evening. Sometimes after a long day, this can seem like the end of the world!

I would say cleaning the cage after a long day at work when I am over tired.

I'd have to say my number one pet peeve is not being able to talk on the phone in the house. That's a big

and go outside on the deck. Not a bad plan in the summer, but boy does it get a little chilly in the winter

Yes, I have had to become a closet caller at times! The deck is good in the spring, summer and fall, but during the winter the closet is the absolute best!

Cleaning. Dust. Spending ALL DAY cleaning. Leaving the next day and coming home to more dust and cleaning! But they are worth it!

ya know......... I think the occasional feeling of being an abused companion would be my pet peeve. My birds aren't as loud as the music I listen to (just not at home hehe) and I make as big a mess to clean as they do. But when they bite me and I make dang nabbit excuses for them biting me to make it "ok".............. yep thats my pet peeve dag nabbit!!

Yup this goes for me too Nate. It seems like as soon as I have the area around the cages all nice and clean someone (usually Silk) decides its a good idea to start flinging food. I had to scrub my window in the lounge room today because the ringies are constantly throwing food at it. I wouldn't mind so much if they didn't sound like they were laughing at me while they watch me clean up after them though
