Mikey Blue (age 8 months this coming Friday) and Ceilidh (age 8 1/2 months) have some fun. Every day after breakfast in their cage (Stainless Steel Kings 506), they get into a wrestling match that lasts about a half hour (this, after already spending a couple of hours on their perches and toys in the living room), before settling down to preen and take a nap. Good Lord that cage is HUGE!!. They look tiny in it! I've never seen birds playing like that before, it looks like a puppy wrestling match that (I think its Hope) wants to get in on! Do the 2 of them share that cage?

Yep, that was Hope doing the watching. Typical obsessive Border Collie :-). Ceilidh and Mikey share that huge cage. It's 6 1/2' tall, 4' wide and 3' deep. I don't know how long they'll be able to share it--probably until we have enough room to add another cage like that, which will mean adding on to the bird room or moving the computers out of it.....

That was too funny. I can't believe how they roll right over on their backs to play like that. The dog looked like she wanted to get in on the action too!

Oh gosh. You are brave!! I guess I'm a chicken when it comes to my three macaws. Heck, it took me about 10 years before I would even put them together on a stand! I just worry about the damage those beaks can do. Then again, mine were all rehomes and a little older.

I love it! I have always been amazed at the macaws playtimes, definately more like puppies!

While Jodi's Kyla was here Roarke and her would do the same thing, I never got the video but have pictures of Kyla on her back with him, it was pretty funny!

WOw Kristy, I didnt realize their cage was THAT big! I could get in there and be comfortable!!!

It looks so cute, especially the way they wait in the middle for the other one to continue the game.

Watching little macaws play together is so wonderful. They're like little kids almost.
