Default Wild Bird Stuck in Garage

We have a nest with some babies that I have been watching. Yesterday, the chicks must have been practicing flight because they were fluttering around the house. It was beautiful to watch until one of my brothers informed me one was stuck in the garage. He/She will not fly out, despite my 30 minutes of swinging the broom. I checked again at night and the little thing seemed to be enjoying itself. I set out some wild bird seed on the garage floor and left the door open. It's still in there this morning and I am worried that it will starve to death. Any advice?

The baby will probably find its way out on its own. I'd leave the door open, and any windows there might be. Do you know what kind of bird it is? I really don't recommend trying to shoo it out with a broom though, it'll just stress it more and could panic it into getting hurt. As a last resort, if it still won't go out on its own, you might be able to do something after dark with a capture net.

Thanks! I want to say it's a sparrow, but I don't really know... I'm not too good with wild birds.

It is a reddish brown color with white specks and a white belly. It is fairly large, only slightly smaller than a robin.

I hope the little guy gets out okay! One time I came home to a Starling in our house! I think the little guy must have gotten in through the fire place chimney. And I had a HECK of a time trying to get him out. I opened all of the doors/ windows. Prolly a couple hours later he flew outside! lol
