Actually Sam wasn't too upset surprising enough, and was sort of won over when I named Nani after a football player who has just moved to his favorite team lol.

Oops sorry should have mentioned that. He is a Green Cheeked Conure and he is 9 months old and I think he is starting his first moult judging by all the pin feathers on his wee little head.

My sister's husband would always go into this full-blown, froth-at-the-mouth "That box had better not contain an animal!" tirade. About half a microsecond after the new addition popped its little head out of the box, Jack would be in love, cuddling the little one, giving it a perfect name and making sure there was no discrimination in living accommodations. He even sent my sister and me out in the middle of the night one night to find a cage that was identical in size to the other cockatiel cage so that nobody would feel slighted .

Nani, I absolutely love you. Your new Momma would have been a very hard-hearted individual if she had been able to resist you -- and that's obviously not the case.

Awww! That is exactly why I am not allowed at Petstores or Bird Fairs by myself, I always need a babysitter, lol. He is adorable though and looks like quite the Mama's boy already!
