Why the Mini Macs make the best parrots:
Mini's are very snuggly. They love their head scritches, 'finger wrestling', tummy kisses and shoulder perching.

Mini's are very playful. They screech with delight during bathtime and squeak happily when given a new toy.

Mini's are inquisitive. They entertain themselves for hours with new things, love to explore and to travel short distances.

Mini's are even-tempered. I never get big mood swings or unexpected nips from them.

Mini's laugh right along wiht you.

Mni's weather change well. I can leave them for a few weeks with a sitter and they don't pluck or come back screaming. I can put htem in the car and drive for three days and they think it's a big adventure.

of course, I'm sure others have something to say about their own birds - :-)

Ok, so in your opinion, which particular flavor of Mini Mac is the "best of the best"?

Hmm... probably the Illiger's, which is unfortunate since they are the rarest and the only mini on the Cites list. I like the Illiger's becuase their voice is quiet, they are overall very easy going, and because my Bella girl is so darn affectionate. :-)

Well I'm sold! Could we see some pictures of yours? We see the big guys all the time...not so much the minis. Care to indulge us??

I just saw the pictures you posted of breakfast time with all three of them. I missed that one the first time around- wheat harvest time. You have some gorgeous birds!

Not really. I'm of the opinion that the GCC is the perfect Micro-Mini Macaw! I'm only half kidding there, I think they do have a lot in common.

i hear you - they sure have some of the mini-macaws.... then add stubborn, always needs to be in charge, bossy and in my case very protective

I agree, our mini-macaws are definately in charge. They think they are Hys! LOL
