Default Why is it always more fun on someone else's perch?

Cosmo and Zoey keep flying to Kirby's hanging boings etc. So all week long I've been working on making new boings and ceiling hangers and had my husband help me put them up today. I put Cosmo and Zoey onto their new hanging play area - and watched them for a bit. Then as soon as I turn my back = they fly back over to Kirby's area!

<sigh> Quito lives by those words. She loves to harass Tausi by landing on his playgym, just out of reach. She knows it drives him wild. I think conures especially enjoy teasing. If she isn't teasing Tausi, she's landing on the dog's back, which truly mortifies him. He knows he's supposed to ignore the birds. If she isn't doing that, she's nibbling on my ear or something. They love being busy, preferably bothering someone else!

My guys must be boring. They all have their own stands and they stay on them for the most part. Thank goodness! Wouldn't want the Ekkies flying over to the macaws! Yikes!

That is an AWESOME set up! Are those just regular boings you've used? Or are they something else you've made? Come on...share your secret!

No secret! LOL They're just reg. boings (I made the ones for the conures myself). I make ceiling hangers out of pvc (a cap at each end, drill a tiny hole in the caps and screw in ss eye hangers). I make hubby drill holes in the ceilings and put in ceiling hooks (like for hanging plants I guess). Attach a ceiling hanger to the hooks, attach a boing between the ceiling hangers, and 1 boing hanging down, and what ever on the other end. Right now there's just a single climbing rope, sometimes I put up another boing or an atom I made. (we just did the same thing last night in my daughter's room for Skittles and the tiels.)

Can I ask what you do about the floor? Do you have plastic sheets down there or something?

That's an awesome play area you have there for them! As far as visiting, all I can think of, is to hang one of those big cargo nets in between the play stations.
