Default Who is your favorite bird behaviorist?

I've been wanting to post this thread for quite some time. Who is your favorite bird behaviorist? This can be a person who teaches workshops and/or lectures, an author, a columnist, etc. Please feel free to list more than one.

Susan Friedman and Mattie Sue Anthan are my top two. In addition to always having sound advice on parrot behavior and care, they are easily approachable people and very easy to talk to.

i have to say that i haven't met any behaviorists in person, so my judgement is exclusively based on books and similar publications.
i really like a lot of the approaches of barbara heidenreich when it comes to behavior advice, followed by mattie sue anthan

Besides myself? .... Hmmmmmm

Psst: I'm glad you added "etc." to your list Lara.

Well gang, to be straight up about it, I have to say our very own Kelly.

She has been the only one who has visited the Compound who was brave enough to take Binky in her hand and tame him. What a gal!!!

Nooooo, I don't have pics of her taming process.

But, here is a pic of Binky himself. Ain't he cute.

I have the highest regard for Barbara Heidenreich, she has been so helpful anytime I have had a problem. I have attended one of her Workshops and we have done a few behavior phone consultations. I really admire what she has accomplished and her views on how all parrots and all animals for that matter should be treated and trained.

I've only had the pleasure of a few emails back and forth with Susan Friedman but I think very highly of her practices and thought processes. The ABC's are not as easy as one might think they are.

Karen, I couldn't agree more. For me, Barbara's right at the top and Susan's right there along beside her. I've attended a few of Barbara's workshops and enjoy her approach. I have taken Susan's class and I agree with the ABC's and look forward in the chance of meeting her in October.

I have heard that Barbara Heidenreich is fabulous. I have also heard Sally Blanchard and Susan Friedman are both great.

Of the ones I've seen in person, Barbara and Susan rate among the tops. Lara Joseph is another one for which I have a high opinion. She seems to be excellent with the too family.
