This has been, hands down, one awesome weekend!! Ok, right after we get to the bird mart I have this horrible realization............... I forgot my camera!!! Four words you never hear from me!!!
Checkin' out the birds n stuff..................... fitting cages in my car............. one of which a friend won for me in a raffle.
Seeing a few friends again was good stuff as well even if it was pretty quick!! I even made it threw the mart with out buying any food products!! Being as I spent all day Saturday cooking mas and grain mixes.

I got home and went to work building cages, Zoey's new cage went up pretty easy, I had to look at a picture once to see what way the legs pointed. This is the cage Jackie won for me. Its perfect for Zoey. I need to go get more rope perches this week too!!

Then I started building on Sophie's cage. There I was, getting tired now after a long wonderous day, when something didn't seem quite right..........



and it dawned on me!!! I built the cage around me!!!




yep, this one is a wee bit bigger then her old cage. I actually fit threw the door!!
There is how ever one minor issue I should have thought of with Sophie's cage. Some of you might pick up on this quickly from previous posts of mine. The food dishes are stainless steel. Stainless steel is shiney. And it reflects very well. Sophie doesn't like the bird in the mirror. She eats what is in it, while trying to find the other bird!!! Oh boy!! She loves her new bell too!!!

Zoey may take a couple days to adjust to the bigger cage But I can tell already she likes it.

Benji got Zoey's old cage again and he was real happy to be back in it!!
well with out further adu (?) and as most only look at the pictures........... hehe









and for tonight they are set up.............

Wonderful! I am sure they will be very happy in their new "homes"!

Very funny Jim - great to see you again - looks like my kind of building style. My husband usually goes for a walk during moments like those.

Very spoiled birds. Could you use coconut shells for the lovely Sophie? - to eat out of i'm thinking.

not yet. That one I will have to sneak around Kelly. lol I am going to make sure his cage is the same size as Benji's.

Well instead of being in the dog cage...I'm sure Kelly wont mind you bing in the bird cage LOL

Those look like some mighty fine digs for your birdies. I really like the distance between the grate and tray in Sophie's cage. I'm always looking for that feature as I have a couple tray diggers in the house!!
