Bea, Jeet is new with us from India! So we are doing a complete tutorial here.

this is an oil made from the palm nut it is part of the main diet of the african grey parrot
you can buy the palm nuts here in the uk or the oil which come in a jar which can be added to toast , scrambled egg,anything really which your bird likes
if bough in the jar it can sometimes be a bit hard but a bit of it added to something can be made soft
the nuts themselves we can purchase frozen and defrost when needed
alot of birds take along time to take it mine included and have been trying to get my grey for mths to eat it but i am not giving in
my amazon likes it in porridge lol
it can also be given to other species and does help with feathers and general health condition

We have some threads on Red Palm Oil - I will add that recently we discussed the different kinds available. Interesting note ~ Some are not made from the nut but the fruit & it is my understanding that it is better overall.
