Hi everyone.Haven't been here for a bit and dropped by to catch up and share my story for today.
Was outside hanging out wash when my hubby calls out"Come here,you'll want to see this!"Well I go rushing to the front yard only to find a momma duck and 7 fuzzy babies wandering across our street and into our driveway,lol.A first for our street.
Well of course I couldn't let them get into traffic as we live near a main road,sooooooooooooo......I followed them around for about 1/2 an hour(with all the neighbors watching and laughing) until the momma stopped walking away,picked her up,got the babies to follow us and took them to a river near my house.
All are now safely in the water,away from cars,dogs and cats.
I was glad the momma was not nasty and she even let me pick up a baby for a minute.Such a nice way to start off my day.

I am also very glad to say that I will be going to visit with my daughter,Maplebird, in July and will get to see my grandson & grandfids then.Nanna can't wait to see you all.

LOL this is soooo typical! You should have taken me some pics though! poor little duckies.

For some more info here everyone....my Mom used to have a pet duck named Baby that she litter trained....LMAO. I was too young to remember it though.

Guess you just love ducks huh Mom? lol

And yes...she's a great egg!

We often find critters trying to cross the streets here.
I'll stop the car to pick up and move the turtles - the gators are on their own though.

We need a video of that. Very cute story.

Baby was the same kind of duck (a mallard) only a drake.
Yes I do love ducks......and macaws,and turtles and snakes and dogs..well you get the picture,lol.
Kris,you should tell them about how you call so I can talk to Maple and Harley on the phone,sometimes for hours,lol,and how we nana cam when you need a bird sitter if you have to be out of the room for to long,It's just to funny.
