I sometimes think parrots were put on earth to make us laugh. I know mine make me laugh all the time. Stella, my 'zon, loves to intentionally knock over a shampoo bottle in the shower whenever she is taking a bath and then yells at the top of her voice "UH-OH". I will pick up the bottle and replace it on its shelf and she will lean over, knock it over and again yell "UH-OH". It's a game with her. And it makes me laugh every single time.

So what does your bird(s) do that make you laugh? I am really interested in hearing everyone's stories!!

When Ollie is being naughty I will pick up the squirt bottle to show it to her. If its because she has flown somewhere she isn't supposed to be, example- top of the door, she will take off when she sees me reach for it, and scream bloody murder while she is flying to another landing spot. I think she picked this up because bf and I will have squirt bottle fights, and of course I will scream and run when he has it. The way she screams you'd think I was killing her!

It just kills me the way she runs on a flat surface. That fast waddle is sooooo hilarious!

I also love it when she talks into her bowls like megaphones. Bf and I will stop whatever we're doing to listen and chuckle at her. She will say all sorts of things!

Watching Pita play in his cage makes me laff.....especially when he decides a particular toy needs telling off! If he's sitting on a perch to close to a toy, and it touches him, he bites and screams at it, as if to say..."STOP TOUCHING ME!"

I laff when he chatters to himself.....and when he hangs upside down from his cage door...example of the latter below:

Bella's thing right now is to have her own conversations when the phone rings. Well she added new words to them and Friday morning it went like this....

Phone rings......

Bella....

Hello!

Hello!

Wha'cha doin?

Okay!

Insert new word that ryhmes with duck you! Hang up!

It's not good she learned that. Her mom has been trying to recap with The Sopranos and we know what colorful language Tony and co use freuqently. I had to hold it in with that one. As bad as it was to just hear it in her voice was pretty funny. She'll laugh at some of her own antics she passes gas like any good grey does and well out comes, EEeew! Then the belly laugh. The evil laugh gets me going pretty good.

My TAG, Jessie, does an entire telephone conversation. She starts by ringing the phone 4 times and does "my" "Helllllo" and then continues with "right - right" <pause> "okay" <pause> "uh huh" <pause> "okay - alright- bye" and then does the phone beep when you hit "end".

And we have another hammer in the house....Jessie and Bella should get together and become teamsters. Now that Bella has the hammer and hopefully not the mouth of one!

The latest is tipping the food dish onto the floor and watching it go crashing down, major big mess. The other day Peanut carried a small steel bucket neatly by the handle, positioned himself and dropped. I love the way they watch what they have dropped. I have to go round a corner to laugh as laughing only brings encore performance, it is the same as laughing at a small child.

We laugh at Roxie so much, it was the first thing she learned to imitate. She loves to roll over and play on her back and when she gets real carried away she actually does somersaults. Also, if she's in playing on the bed and you're under the covers, she has to be too, and she'll do whatever it takes to burrow under there. Just messing with her, hubby was holding the blankets tight under his chin, so she went behind his head, forced her way under his neck and got under the blankets that way - chuckling to herself the whole time.
But by far, the funniest thing she does is when she's lying on her back playing with something. If she's really wound up, she'll bring her wings up and around her head, making her chortling/whistling noise the whole time and you can't help but laugh at her. Of course, the laughing just eggs her on more .... I keep saying we really need to get a camcorder.
She's learning to bunny-hop now too - nothing funnier IMO than a macaw bunny-hopping !

Wow, lots of fids talking on the phone.
Boca also answers the phone and holds an entire conversation.
Boca is always on his cage and often goes visiting his neighbor Libby. He will get on top of her cage and say; just checking, or just visiting or, how are you today. He also tries to unlock Libbys cage for her and let her out. He'll tell her; get out of there.

ok well zuppy when hes really mad and frustrated with me , insteadof biting he starts barking like one of my dogs..he barks so hard he actually jumps at the same time lol

marley who will go to anyone! will pretend to bite people as the walk past the cage..especially new people who he can actually scare, and he startes laughin his head off! but if you actually stood there and gave him a finger to bite he wouldnt press down to hurt you and after one go at it he would look at you as if to say...hey! thats no fun!

Bobby tries singing or talking over everything! i mean if your talking on the phone bob tries to out do ya and the louder you talk the louder he talks...he also tries to bite thin air then screams " bobby stop biting, no bobby stop it!!!!" then bursts himself laughing lol

once a new person gives tango attention once then thats it they have made a friend for life...and if that friend stops rubbing under his chin and tries to get him off their hand...he flies onto their heads and tries biting them if they want him off lol
