I've been around these fids for a two years now and have been weighing them in monthly around the middle of the month. This year I definitely noticed that they all seem to put on the grams for winter and they have been steadily loosing weight. Not a lot weight. I'm guessing they are trimming up for spring? They haven't slowed down on eating at all!! Anybody else notice this?
I weigh each of my birds weekly and don't notice any seasonal weight differences. I think that if I saw anyone of them putting on a little weight I would cut their food back a bit and it would put them right back to their normal weight by the next week.
Ollie has been steady around 335 for the past several months. That is up from about 324 last summer. I dont' know if its seasonal, or just her still growing up. She isn't quite 2 yet. 10 grams isn't all that much anyways though.
