I am kinda posting Patti;s email because it tells the story of what is going on. If I was to cut part, I might leave something out that someone here could help with..............................

sorry to worry everyone but i did try to get on until 9pm but i couldn't stay awake any longer.. im so wrecked with guilt now that i brought cosmo in to the vet he wanted him there cause he had another avian specialist just to confirm what he thinks it is .. which is either aspergillosis which we are still waiting on the elisa blood test to come back but his physical findings went that way with all the blood work that did come back,,,the 2nd vet said the same thing but wont say if its acute or chronic until that blood test comes back....my vet said he could of had it the last time he was here but we didn't test for it ......all i could do was cry at the vets when he said that but he said if he did have it in nov he more aless got it when he was at the pet store he asked me so many question regarding where i bought him .. how they got him and anything u could think he was asking...please tell everyone at pc that i will try to go on tonight to tell everyone once it sinks in...i would of called u last night but all i know i would cracked....

Patti, have faith, your vets sound like they know what they're doing. There are really good medications and treatments today that can get this under control.

I just went through this last fall with my Greenwing hen. It took 4 months of medication, but we got rid of it.

Have faith, there are several people here that have experience with Aspergillosis and we'll be here for support and help.

I feel for you Patti. Cosmo is in my thoughts and prayers.

Patti, both Karen and I have experiences with Asper if indeed that is the outcome. Remember, tests can give false positives and negitives.

thanks everone i know it might heart that i would give in without a fight...but im so mad ..mad at what...maybe i should of looked else where to buy him ..the place wasnt the best breathing grounds and the lady was pushing me to take home sooner than i did take him....as u know i did take him home on 1 feeding against my belief but it didnt work out he asscoiated me w/handfeeding so i did take him back for 2 weeks and that all she did was 2 wks even if he was weaned or not... but i couldnt of asked for a sweeter bird...the vet said his blood count was way too high ....his monoctyes were high.... his total protein was out of wack...he wants to schedule the xrays next weekend when i have the 3 days off so i can monitor him after he comes home so thurs it will be done.......i just want to thank everyone for keeping me sane...i cant ask for better friends

Thinking of you and Cosmo, and keeping you in my prayers. Take it from someone who knows, try not to wrack your brain with "whys" and "what ifs"; I know it's easier said than done, but just try to concentrate on getting Cosmo well again.
