For one, Jack learned a new word! Now he can say 'HI'! I heard him say it 3 or 4 times this morning, every time I would say it, he would say it more clearly than the time before. So that puts him up to 3 words plus the sounds he can make.
And secondly, I have updated my *Birds I want much later in life* list:
-hyacinth macaw
-double yellow headed amazon
-severe macaw
-black-headed caique
-male ekkie
-and a patagonian conure, I fell in love with them today! I saw one at the pet store and I was really fascinated by him so I have been reading up on them and I now I really want one...lol
I am sure I am forgetting a couple

I sure have high hopes don't I?
What sucks is that even if I can ever get any of them, it won't be for many years *sigh*
I guess it gives me something to look forward to though

It's a good thing I cannot get any more birds, if I was fully weaned and left the nest, I know I would have soooo many birds, it would just be easier to turn my house into one huge aviary! I have people who have asked me if I wanted their bird (one person had some kind of amazon, she said noone ever gave her atttention any more) and I have seen so many birds who are living poor lives and I am sure I could get them if I tried.
AND I am going with the Bird Heard (a parrot club I am joining) to the Wilson Parrot Foundation tomorrow and I know I would adopt all the birds there if I could.
I'd be scared to know my future, I'll probably turn into a parrot, I'll have pin feathers coming in everywhere. The funny thing is, when I was a little kid, some of my family (especially my mom and grandmother) would call me Shaneybird. And...I think I already told you guys but both mine and Jack's name translate to "God is Gracious", that has to mean something!
