There is a local guy who makes them and sells them at bird fairs and to retail stores. We buy them at bird fairs, as it costs about half as much as buying them at retail stores. That biggest one cost us $250 and the smaller one cost us $150 from the bird fair, and he usually has hundreds of branches to choose from, and will make up either a floor perch or a hanging one right there on the spot.

Christie,
what a beautiful day for your babies to be outside, even if it was just for 10 min......they will just love being outside.

Where did you get the wood perches that they are on??? are they the same ones from your house?

Do the wood perches have a bottom on them??? I could not see the bottom of the wood in the pictures.>>>>>>>>> I just love those wood perches.

Ingrid, yes, they're the same ones that were in the house, and yes, they have bases on wheels. We haven't used them inside for a couple of months, as they take up a lot of room (we use smaller SS perches indoors), so the boys were glad to play on their "old friends" again :-).

I think the use of a dog kennel is brilliant - & in your case maybe dual purpose one day!
It will be interesting to hear how it wears over time. Are you planning on relocating it from time to time? Is it 'floating'? - or is it anchored?
