And no we did not bring anyone new home with us, the kids did try to talk me into it

Nolan(7) and Alyssa(5) came to spend the weekend, when I took them home today we went to the pet store to get the Bearded Dragon some food. Well they had 2 different birds then last time we were there so the kids were excited. There was a Panama Amazon that was playing with them, if they looked at him he wouldn't say a word, but as soon they stopped talking to him he would chatter away at them. They loved that

Then there was a little Quaker that was really shy. If anyone came close he would do his little Quaker growl and scamper away. The kids knew that meant he was scared, so they went really slow with him and talked soft to him. It wasn't long and he came right up to them. Alyssa true to form stuck her finger right in the cage, and the Quaker nipped it a little and once again true to form she did not react or back down. One of the employees came up to tell them to be careful because he would bite. Alyssa told him she didn't care and she doesn't mind when birds bite her. ( and she really doesn't, she has taken a couple good bites in the past and if you didn't see it happen you would never know, she is very calm about it) Nolan told the guy if he is afraid of getting bit he should make a fist and offer that to the bird, because it's harder to get bit that way cause the skin is tight. I'm so proud of them
