Our family grew by three last night..... We got a call last week from a woman on disability who couldn't care for her birds any longer..... She asked if we would adopt them. Topper is a 14 yr old male tiel, O.G. is a budgie also 14 and Willy a keet around 5.... We picked them up last night. They were silent during the ride home. Only the 2nd time they have ever been in a car...... I felt guilty taking them from the woman, but she said she couldn't keep them...

They are in taller then wider cages, which we hate... But will replace later in the week. They also have yucky food... She hasn't been able to get the prime blend food she use to get as she doesn't go out of her home. Her husband passed away last fall and he use to do all the shopping..... So we have to get that food and start them on some GOOD !!! stuff.... They loved the millet and apple we gave them, that's a start

What a shame she had to give them up. That had to be hard on her. Post pics when you can. I bet they will love some new cages. Those tall cages just make no sense. Some of these cages I see are just so wrong for birds. I am convinced the designer has never even seen a bird.

Thank you for all you do for birds, you shine, I am sure you will fill the void within there little hearts.
