Hi everyone,
Thank you for the warm welcome back.
As some of you know, my darling Humphrey passed away after an illness in December 2007. We were devastated.
Soon, to help fill our hearts (but not replace Humph, obviously!) we adopted (from a rescue) another Princess Parrot, Leo, who is disabled - he has a twisted neck, a crooked beak, and liver failure. He'll be on meds twice a day for the rest of his life. But he is the happiest creature on the face of the earth! It's almost like he knows he almost didn't get a chance at life (euthanasia was considered by the petstore, before he got to the rescue) that he appreciates it all the more. Leo was featured in a full page article in October's Birdtalk (described as 'Leia" - his name before we found out he was actually male!)
I also adopted my dream bird - a male eclectus, my darling Ollie, and his beautiful, spirited, and fiesty sister, Pepper. (I gave them these names). I got the ekkies from the rescue, too.
We absolutely adore our flock of 3, which expanded much quicker than we expected!
Here are some photos of their antics:

This is my husband's photo page - so the 'me' in 'me and Leo' is my husband. You also will have to go to the second and third pages to see Ollie and Pepper.
Best wishes,
Michele & precious flock.
