Default Are they still safe to feed?

So this morning I'm doing birdie cooking. I was looking through all my "bird foods" and remembered I had some seeds in the freezer. I have hulled sunflower & pumpkin, buckwheat, split green peas, safflower and flax seeds. They're in their original bags (which are those vacuum sealed type - but I cut small slits in the corners of them when I first got them), and in plastic baggies and were all together in a walmart type bag. I've had them in there for at least a year - maybe a few months more. Would they still be good? Or should I throw them out? There's no freezer burn or any thing like on them - but I have no idea on this sort of thing.

Ya know, I thought things like nuts and seeds would stay good in the freezer forever. However, I just learned about a month ago that Almonds are good in the freezer for like 6 months is all. I'm guessing seeds are similar to almonds in the way they keep? I'm really not sure...hopefully somebody else will know!

If its in a vaccum sealed bag it should be OK. Stuff that is in a vaccum sealed bag can last over two years in the freezer from what I have heard- we have a seal-a-meal that vaccum seals any leftovers we want to freeze, and its guranteed to have certain foods last at least one year in the freezer.

I think I'll throw them out. I usually go by the better safe than sorry rule too. The seal was broken on the bags - I cut the corners when I first got them. I did eat a sunflower seed - and it tasted okay - but then again - I've never eaten sunflower seeds before. So don't know if it tasted how it should or not.
