Prinny is our cockatiel and because she is so much smaller than our other birds she is often hesitant to come around us when the others are out. But I have learned that if I put the others to bed before her and turn off the lights that she will come to me. Because of this we have developed special time alone with Prinny. Everynight she gets go stay up about 30 minutes later than the other fids. And she climbs back and forth between me and Evan, happily asking for scritches and preening us. Does anyone else have a special time alone with one of their fids?

That was a real good idea. I have special time with Boca, he is the only one (other than Gem) that I can take outside without a harness or in a cage. We sit on the porch swing almost every afternoon.

Kady cannot fly (despite the fact that I do not clip) so he is allowed outside to go for walks with me and sit on the deck. He's always quite content to sit on my lap, shoulder or the back of my computer chair.

Kita on the other hand needs to be on the move. Her absolute favorites are playing on the floor with her toys. She giggles and attack the toys when I throw them for her. She also insists that she stand on the side of the sink and bathe in the running water.

Uh..special time.... mm...I think all the time is special time for Jean.

We have to give ours separate times, because it is not always possible to have a budgie and sun out together. Peanut also gets to spend more time with me alone. Pinky prefers to hide in a shirt when the other suns are with me. She does not like to be separated from them, but she loves shirts.
