Default Something about this caique....

This was a thread posted on a ********* elsewhere. There is something about this caique I cant put my finger on- anyone else?
The bird is said to be a year old...
take a look at the color of the feathers on the head, the 'speckled' appearence of the feet, and the beak color.

See I knew about the black heads. But the ones I have seen took less then a year to disappear?
Of course each bird is different- but the beak really throws me off, same with the feet. The beak has a real blackish tinge- look at the bathing picture.
I was wondering if it was a hybrid, or I was just seeing things.

I have seen a number of caiques come through with speckled feet. We had one WB that is now almost 9 months old and the head is still quite black. (Our customers love to bring their babies in for visits). As for the beak, I am wondering if it is the camera.

Oh, and the Green Thigh found a home!!!

No, I didn't take pictures, but I must admit that I burst into tears when he went home. The people who bought him must have spent an addition $1,000.00 in "stuff" for him, so I know he is being cared for properly.
