No, wait- its just Ollie's hoopball!! Thank goodness she can fly, because her hoopball came crashing down today with her on it! She made it through the halfway closed bedroom door, down the hallway, around the corner, across the living room all the way to her bottlebrush gym before I even realized what had happened! (Where she then proceeded to tell my roommate hello, and start singing her new <made up> song- not much phases my girl I tell ya!).

That's what I get for not making sure it was hanging in a stud...the darn thing weighs like 15 pounds! Poor Ollie is without her ball until probably tomorrow, will she survive?? Tune in...

Everybody check to make sure your hanging gyms are securely attached to the ceiling (or a stand)! I would hate to think what could have happened if she weren't such a skilled flier!

OMG - thank goodness she is okay! Cute story too! That happened with my macaws' boing. I heard a huge crash... ran upstairs and sure enough, it had come down. Bob was okay,thank goodness!

Glad Ollie is okay! I'm going to recheck the hanging play areas now!

Glad Ollie is ok. I check for studs when ever I hang stuff, because almost everyone I ever hung has fallen. Stirling has flown off as has Ollie. Sydney however, hangs on for the fall of his life, and doesnt even attempt to flap his wings....(he;s not the sharpest tool in the shed! )

the thing is, even when they are playing and flappin around on the boing, they can untwist it out of the ceiling. thats Sydneys case more then not.

Ollie loves to flap her hoopball into circles and would untwist it out of the ceiling in a hurry if I didn't have a swivel bolt in the top for it to freely spin!

Gary- The hoopball is Ollie's absolute favorite gym. She spends about 80% of her out of cage time on it!

Kathie- Ollie has bounced her boing off the ceiling hook! It took her about 30 minutes to get back on it again!

So glad to read she wasn't bothered by her toy leaving...suddenly. I have the hardest time finding studs. I need to come up with a better system, my trial and error method hasn't been working well.
