Lilly was in her cage this morning eating her breakfast while I was tidying up the kitchen. I heard much flapping and cawing comming from the room that she is in so I raced in to have a looksy. There she is trying to bathe in her water dish, which is big enough for a ringie to fit in but no where near big enough for an eckie. She looked so funny, trying to wash her belly and head at the same time, its a wonder she didn't get stuck in there with the amount of twisting she was doing. Little bugger stopped as soon as I came back with the camera.

She is such a character. Loves to be with me and is very good at flying to me, we are going to have to work on the landing part though lol.

What a pretty girl. I just love watching them try to bathe in their water dish. They do make quite the production out of it and look like they're having a blast doing it also!!!!

What a pretty little girl! I wish Ollie would at least try to bathe in her water dish! To my knowledge the thought has never even crossed her mind! That goes for Dakota as well!

Out all all the flock, the teils are the only ones who I have never seen bathe in their bowls. They love being misted with a spray bottle or the hose though.
I am thinking about taking Miss Lilly into the shower with me, am waiting for her to get more settled before hand though. Silk loves comming in and is a pain in the butt to get out (re bites) before she is ready.

Had a shocking, terrible day today but comming home to the fids and getting a sweet cuddle and preen from Lilly made it all worth while.

Great Pics! I wish mine would try to take baths... I once came into the bird room to find that everything by Echo's water dish as well as his tummy were wet. I was so proud! He hasn't done it again, unfortunatly...

Harley is always a joy to bath. On really warm days, I take her and her persh outside for a hose-rain. She'll stand there, wings apart, feathers fluffed as big as can be and her beak wide open having a balst. I've tried the shower perch, but she does so much flapping. If she mush bathe indoors, I hang the shower perch low because wihtin a minute, she's in the bottom of the tub, beautifing herself!
