Default question about Lovebirds

For those of you that have had them or know about it, what would you say is the average size of a Peach face Lovebird? Benji is 47g. Vet said he is normal sized.
I am asking because while at Petsmart a couple days ago they had some Peachfaced Lovies for sale. They all looked like Benji on steroids!!! Near twice his size visually!

I have had them maybe bigger than Benji about english budgie size. A baby does appear bigger if it has not yet fledged. I don't know about double size because then it would be GCC or teil size.

Mine were about 47g. The feamale was bigger, at about 48g-49g, depending. The ones at Petco/petsmart from what I have noticed are small. I think it is because they are very young and weaned very early, so they are 'stunted'.

I saw one at the bird show who was HUGE. No kidding, she (it was a female) looked like a giant lovie. I asked the owner why, and she said it was because although she was 3 months, she was handfeeding like a baby chick. The owner said she was just 'big boned due to all the formula' but I think she was big boned and overweight.

This isn't about lovebirds but I saw some giant Nandays at a local petstore, when I asked why they were so big he said it was the type of formula they were handraised on. Not sure if that really makes such a big difference though.

Did the lovies look streamlined like Benji or more block shaped like a chicken? I never had baby lovies, but baby shape is different to the finished bird shape.

lol quite literally looked like buffed up Benji's. The bodies weren't that much smaller then a tiels. Kelly spotted them first and commented on the huge Lovebirds.

I had a Peach face Lovebird for a 21 years named Poppy. (It was a nice long time for a lovebird to live). I saw some lovebirds at our local petshop a few weeks ago and they looked more buff and taller than Poppy did. All I know is that I had to look twice to make sure I was really seeing Lovebirds. Yes, they were indeed Lovebirds and they were much bigger than Poppy was.
