Default Question about a bird store in NJ

I was just browsing the classifieds in the May issue of BirdTalk and saw an ad for Angel's Bird Jungle in Shrewsbury NJ. It says in the ad that they are "The only store with two of the rarest birds in the world on display."

So my question is, has anyone from NJ been there? What are the birds? Curiosity is KILLING me!

I have no idea but it seems like NJ has the most bird stores of any state.

Thanks Kathie! I was on the verge of calling them and saying, "Hi, I'm like, 4000 miles away, but I'd really like to know what kind rare birds you have there...." Now I'm going to have to go and see if I can find a picture on the web of these guys. Thanks again.

You're welcome! They are actually very beautiful birds - especially the yellow mutation red lored. They are asking, I believe...you ready?? $25,000 for each - something in that ballpark.

WOW!!! Crazy!! I found some pics of them, I googled. Beautiful birds! Anyway, there is a breeder in Florida. (of the blue ones) No prices on his babies but it sounded like you make an offer and he either accepts or declines. I can't even imagine.

If you are really serious - PM me the name of the breeder - I'll let you know if it is a good one or not. One of them is really doing a lot in-breeding and has deformities....
