Has anyone ever seen this or used it?

That sounds like it would freak the fid out.

I think it would be rather easy to get them used to it. Just put it closer and closer to their cage, then maybe hang it close by so they can beak it. After that, they wouldn't be afraid of it. Ollie was petrified of her purple flightsuit at first, but I got it closer and closer to her and after a few days I could have definitely put it on my arm and she would have stepped on to it. Getting it ON her is a different story though!

That would have really been helpful when Danny first came home, we took alot of bites, many times without warning.

The website says they come in different colors. If I were going to get one - I would probably go with the beige. Luckily - I don't have any biters. (knock on wood) Unless you count Skittles - but she only bites me if I'm bold enough to stick my hand in her cage and ask her to step up. Once out I can wrap her in a towel and preen her for hours on end if I wanted to.

INTERESTING! That would be a WONDERFUL idea for my dad if I thought I could get him to put one on... which he won't. I'll have to think about that.

Here's the problem. Even though I don't have biters... Dad LOVES to interact with the birds, and does so daily. He takes them out in the early afternoon from cages to stands in the livingroom... then plays with them, and takes Red outside for a few minutes, several times daily because that's what Red likes. The issue is that dad has REALLY REALLY thin skin, AND he is on blood thinners. I don't have to go into detail, you get the picture, he is often a mess. Even very well groomed, macaw talons can do really bad damage to that type of skin without even trying. Not to mention I can't even put bandaids on dad really, because the birds would pick them off and the glue damages his skin too.

Ace bandages were too hard to deal with.... I wonder if I could talk him into something like this. Thanks for the link!

Dana, this sounds like it would be prefect for your Dad! I know when I was using an arm protector I would have liked to have something easy to put on and take off. It also looks like it would give the larger birds a really good gripping area.
